Useless Useful: Participatory Fashion Performance & Exhibition

Episode II of Useless/Useful Participatory Fashion Performance and Exhibition

In Lufeianna Wang’s performance installation, she suggests that we reflect on the meaning of our choices in life and ends by reflecting on the designer’s role and even the meaning of fashion.

As mentioned above, the building of our own aesthetic identity could be a metaphor for the vital destiny we forge by means of making choices. However, the future is not only the result of our deliberated choices, but is also made of coincidences and encounters, which we call ‘fate’. Her creation for this exhibition is inspired by experiencing the turning points in life, and the role that the useless and useful can play in certain moments during life’s course.
